kerik-2Today, there are two “water-cooler” stories in the NY Times, and because the paper does not yet charge for content, I’ll bring them to you — free!!

BERNARD KERIK — Remember him? Former police commissioner of New York, nominee for Secretary of Homeland Security? You might be wondering what he’s up to these days, after having been indicted for tax evasion, perjury, and corruption.

Well, you can see for yourself on May 12th when the premiere episode of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs. That’s Bernard Kerik — unnamed — training a dog for one of the housewives, according to the Times.

To say how the mighty have fallen seems unnecessary. Kerik’s trial is slated to begin in October.

bras-are-usBRA CUP INFLATION — The Times’ Style section also has a fascinating story on how women’s cup sizes for bras (Times illustration) keeps going up and up to the point where the most popular size will soon be 36 DD!!

Have the women of NYC turned into “Supervixens,” Russ Meyer’s 1975 hit movie??!! Sadly, no. It seems bra manufacturers are just sizing the cup  differently, just as dress sizes keep going down.

As one bra manufacturer quoted in the article says: “It’s the ascendancy of the DDs. The bras that women are wearing these days are not their mothers’ bras.”

So there you go, if you haven’t bought the NY Times yet, no need to do so. It’s filled with a bunch of international and national stories but now you’re good to go.
